He kiddingly calls it his “hulk hand”, a green colored cast that covers most of his left hand. First day of spring ball, first drill and junior running back John Goebel breaks his hand. Going into the 2009 season Brian Kelly is full of good backs including the two veterans, Gobel and Jacob Ramsey. For some the broken hand would be a set back, but as our Artrell Hawkins finds out the kid from Michigan is using the experience to make him self better.
Goebel and Ramsey teamed up last year to lead the Bearcat running attack, this year the youth movement is expected to enhance the running game when the season starts in September. Later this week look for Artrell’s spotlight on a local tight end from Kentucky….Ben Guidugli.
